For tabla, you use the Chilla method. Chillai is playing a piece of music or a phrase for 40 days, 8 hours a day. This is going to take a lot of physical work.
2. Intellectual Riyaaz
Practice does not simply imply physical exertion; to present any art form, such as Jod-ragaas or tabla compositions, requires an intellectual approach. Riyaz’s intellectual abilities include changing teental composition to different taals, converting tihais to different taals, and so on. As a result, Riyaz’s artist can come up with a lot of new ideas.
3. Psychological & Emotional Riyaaz
Art is abstract; it exists outside of technique and intelligence, and it exists outside of perfection. Any artist must be mature and pure in order to offer any art form. He should be emotionally invested in the medium. Not only should an artist develop his or her own style, but he or she should also avoid copying their Guru.
Riyaz is a name given to an artist who devotes time to technical, intellectual, and psychological aspects of his work.
Very Thoughtful Word Which does mean a lot to lot of musicians around the world.
